You can always share one drink with your friends during the busy holidays when you’ve got a helicopter.
White Claw is all about getting friends together for some drinks and quality time, which is especially hard to do during the crazy holiday season. There’s just no time. But c’mon…everyone has time for ONE drink together. So we made it happen, zipping people home in no time for that one White Claw with friends. Yeah—just one. The social-first campaign all started with a first-of-its-kind stunt.
We kicked things off by creating the first Out of Home that Takes You Home—a one-of-a-kind billboard complete with a real helicopter that literally flew busy people to their friends in real time to share a White Claw together.
You might think finding someone willing to break free from their busy day to helicopter to their friends for a White Claw would be challenging, but people jumped at the chance. Anyone could climb aboard and be taken to their friends on the spot. Because spending time with friends, even for one drink, is worth it.
For a campaign that’s all about making time during the busy holiday season, we enlisted the help of someone notoriously busy and could relate to the struggles of connecting with friends this time of year—comedian/creator Brittany Broski (aka @brittany_broski, aka Kombucha Girl). She shepherded people on their trips home to friends, and spread the word about the campaign loud and proud through a suite of long and short-form content.
From one innovative billboard, we gave the rest of the country the chance to zip home on an ultra-fast trip to share one White Claw with friends. People nationwide could enter to win a trip by helicopter, plane, speedboat, and everything in between. Whatever got them home in no time. The submissions poured in by the thousands, and we even had Brittany read a few of the best ones on her podcast BroskiReport.
